About Domesticthinks Pest Control
What Domesticthinks Pest Control is
Domesticthinks Pest Control is a referral service. We help homeowners in Kansas City, MO and the Kansas City area reach an independent local pest or wildlife provider without a long search.
We do not treat homes. We do not trap animals. Providers in our network do that work.
Why this exists
Searching for help takes time. Pages of listings, unclear prices and unanswered messages make it harder. A small problem, like a few ants or one mouse, can grow while you search.
So we built a checklist-style path. It is short on purpose. It also keeps the process honest, because you always know who does what.
How it works
1. First, identify it. Tell us what you see: insects, droppings, noises, damaged wood. 2. Next, get connected. Request a callback to check provider availability, or send a request. 3. Then compare quotes. Ask for a written quote before you agree to anything. 4. Finally, decide. Pick the provider and the plan that feel right for your home.
How providers are matched
We look at the type of problem, your location and which providers can take the job. Availability changes, so some providers can respond quickly and others need more notice. If one provider is busy, another in the network may be able to help.
What we expect from providers
- Be honest about what they find
- Explain the plan and the price in writing
- Use treatments suited to a home with children or pets
- Answer the homeowner's questions
- Hold any licenses their state requires
- Treat your home and yard with care
Providers set their own terms. You make the final choice.
What we do not do
- We do not perform pest control, wildlife removal or termite work.
- We do not set provider prices.
- We do not promise results or arrival times.
- We do not decide insurance claims. Some policies may cover sudden damage, so check your policy. Providers can often help document damage for a claim.
How we are paid
Providers in our network may pay for referred calls. This helps keep the connection simple for homeowners. You are never required to hire anyone, and asking for a quote does not commit you to anything.
What you can do yourself
Some steps are safe for a homeowner: clearing clutter, storing food in sealed containers, fixing leaks and keeping firewood away from the house. Active infestations, bed bug treatment, nests and structural termite damage need professional tools and training.
If you are unsure whether a problem is small or serious, describe it to a provider and ask. A short conversation can save you from guessing.
Get connected
Request a callback to check provider availability, or use the request form if you prefer to write it all down.
Request a callback
Describe your pest or wildlife problem through the request form. Or request a callback to check provider availability. A local provider can then follow up with next steps.
